My Story
Woodworking is more than just a craft—it’s a family legacy. My grandad, a man with over 70 years of experience in the trade, was my first teacher. I spent school holidays in his workshops in London and later in Ireland, where the scent of timber and the rhythm of his tools sparked a lifelong passion. Those moments shaped me, and today, every piece I create is a tribute to him and the invaluable lessons he passed down.

Hi, I’m the maker behind Chalk & Chisel Woodwork. What began as a childhood fascination has grown into a small business built on creativity, sustainability, and love for the craft. I work with reclaimed and locally sourced timber, breathing new life into materials that might otherwise go to waste. Each piece is unique—no two are ever the same—because I believe your home deserves something truly special.

Drawing inspiration from traditional techniques and blending them with modern design, I create functional pieces that tell a story. Whether it’s a rustic charcuterie board or an intricate carving, every item is made by hand with care and attention to detail.

As a sole trader, I handle everything myself—from sourcing wood and designing pieces to packaging and shipping your order. My mission is simple: to share the beauty of handmade craftsmanship with homes across the UK and Ireland. The Beginning
My journey into world of design wasn't a straight line but a blend of practical skills and advanced theory. I started with a four-year college education encompassing Site Carpentry and Joinery followed by Interior Design, which taught me both the mechanics of manufacture and the principles of aesthetics.
This foundation led to a rigorous four-year Master of Design course in Interior Architecture and Spatial Design, where I focused on critical thinking about space and user experience. Since graduating, I've applied this comprehensive expertise in professional practice with bespoke joinery and design companies, resulting in 12 years of overall experience creating truly custom spaces.

Present
In the wake of my grandad’s passing in June 2025, I returned to Ireland to breathe new life into his beloved workshop. Untouched since he set down his tools in his eighties, the space is a true time capsule—filled with history, character, and inspiration.

From this legacy, Chalk & Chisel Woodwork was born: a one-person studio dedicated to creating timeless, handcrafted pieces. Each item—whether a charcuterie board, elegant holder, coaster, or seasonal ornament—is made with care, precision, and a deep respect for tradition.

I’m in the early stages of shaping Chalk & Chisel Woodwork from my grandad’s cherished workshop—a space rich with history and inspiration. But this is just the beginning. My vision for the future is bold:
